I have been active all my life, sports to hiking rarely did I work out with a focus on maintaining my body. I had remained pretty much injury free for almost 50 years. Yes, I had aches and pains but I was older and assumed this was just a normal part of aging.
My outlook changed in an instant one morning while playing racquetball. I turned hard and went down immediately. After a visit to the Doctor I learned I had a torn meniscus in my right knee.
This is an injury that is not easily repaired and does not really heal. The best solution is to avoid those activities that are likely to aggravate it.
I was lucky enough to have already attended some of Brenda’s classes with my wife and knew what a focus she had on the whole body.
After three months of focused training she was able to strengthen my legs, increase my flexibility and retrain my body to not put unnecessary pressure on the knees. Two years later I am healthier then I have been in years. The aches and pains are gone, I am more flexible and more active then I have been in over ten years. I continue to play racquetball several times a week with no discomfort.
My experience with Brenda has been life changing looking at my whole body: including exercise, diet and my mental approach. This is something that I could not have done without her coaching and expertise.

I have had the opportunity to work with Brenda over the last 17 months. Hard to summarize in a few words the significant impact that she has had on me and my family. What I appreciate about Brenda is the comprehensive and customized approach that she incorporates into her training. She tailors her training based on each individuals needs and ability. In my case, we focused on developing good nutrition habits and works-outs centered around lowering my blood sugar levels. In the 17 months that I have been working with her my AIC blood sugar levels have gone from 10.2 to 6.1. I have gaIned muscle mass and lowered my body fat. The other thing that I love about Brenda is that she truly cares about her clients. After 2 children I of course added on some pounds and became a person who likes to eat. I have always wanted to exercise but I had trouble sticking with things and a huge problem with motivating and pushing myself. I would exercise(if I didnt talk myself out of it) at home but videos and my inner self just didn't push me to move beyond a mediocre pace.
My husband introduced me to Brenda and told me to go to one of her classes. I said I'd think about it. I never went, I thought I could do this myself! Well another year went by and 2-4 more pounds added on! So I decided to give Brenda a try.
I was not helping myself and I couldnt continue to just keep adding 2 pounds to my current weight every year, so I went to a class. Wow! It felt so good to go to a live class and not stare at a tv, it was so nice to be motivated and cheered on by a live caring person!
Brenda is a sweet yet tough coach, she is knowledgeable and truly motivating. She knew exactly what I needed and pushed me to do more and to become stronger.
Well that was June of 2017 and I'm still going 3-4 times during the week and sometimes twice on Saturday morning! Now let's be real I don't always want to go I am human but then I think about how GREAT I feel after going and I how I wouldn't want to disappoint my Brenda!
