Then one day I read a book by Viktor Frankl. I'm not going to quote from it but I'd rather give you my take away. Viktor Frankl was a Holocaust survivor. The story that sticks in my mind to this day is the story he told about all the men dying around him. How they gave up and who should judge them?! Then he told the story of how he and a few others survived. The would tear up tiny pieces of paper and close their eyes and pretend it was savory foods from home as they ate the paper. He talked in great length about what he chose to "think" about. He also spoke of how not even the worst people could take away the beauty he saw in the sunset. No one could take away what he chose to think. This is and always has been amazing to me. And here we sit in America, the most free of all people and we whine and overeat nutritionally deficit foods. What will you do today to change your thoughts for the better?
